Welcome to Couch to Proud!

   Hello everyone and welcome to Couch to Proud. My name is Andy and I'm the author of this blog. For a little bit about me, I'm a woman in my twenties and a home workout enthusiast. During the Covid pandemic I decided to start my fitness journey from home, mostly by using free Youtube workots. Navigating through an ocean of online fitness content was very confusing as a beginner, so I've decided to share some of the best free content I've found during my searches. 

   I was the unfit girl picked up at last in P.E class as a kid, I was 'skinny' yet my coordination and body awareness were abyssmal. I never worried about my physical appearance until the pandemic lockdown, when negative lifestyle changes and extreme sedentarism caused me to gain weight. Things took a turn for the worse around the end of 2022 and after a terrible yoga class, I decided to change my habits with the help of the world wide web. With basically zero fitness experience and lots of doubts, I slowly started to find my workout niche. 

  My weight loss journey has been pretty slow yet steady, a consistent workout schedule has made wonders for my mental and physical health. Although I'm not the fittest woman alive and my transformation is not as dramatic as others, yet I feel my life has improved so much with a little effort. So I would love to share some of the wonderful creators all over the world that have helped me during this journey, in hopes of reaching those who are still confused by the miriad information available online.
